ENDURANCE
The Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1914–17), also known as the Endurance Expedition, is considered the last major expedition of the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration. Conceived by Sir Ernest Shackleton, the expedition was an attempt to make the first land crossing of the Antarctic continent. The expedition failed to accomplish this objective, but became recognized instead as an epic of endurance.

Just finished reading Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage by Alfred Lansing. I LOVED this book. It was a great (true) story and an absolutely incredible adventure. I was amazed at the men's will to survive with how little they had and was blown away that they remained positive and were full of hope throughout it all. What amazing men, talk about enduring to the end.
